Webmaster Jeff Phillips' Biography

Jeff Phillips was born in Johnson City, TN in 1966. In 1999, he and his family returned to Washington County after serving 14 years in the U.S. Army. He is married to Mechille Phillips, and has four children and one grandchild.

In 2001, Jeff began his career with the Sheriff's Office as a corrections officer in the Detention Division. In 2002 he became a lead booking officer on his shift and helped train other booking officers and was also a member of the S.O.R.T. team. In 2005, he was transferred to the Administration Division as a computer technician and assumed the role of webmaster. Jeff holds a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science and Information Technology with a minor in Criminal Justice.

Military Service

Jeff Phillips served in the U.S. Army Military Police Corps for 14 years from 1984 - 1998. He is a veteran of Desert Shield/Desert Storm. He served in numerous positions from Team Leader, Squad Leader, Security Manager and Training Coordinator for the United States Army Military Police School at Fort McClellan, Alabama. Jeff served in the following locations, two tours in Southeast Asia, two tours in the Republic of Panama, 2 tours in Germany, Fort Lewis -Washington, Fort Hood - Texas, Fort McClellan - Alabama. He was awarded the following service awards.
